Contact "Login Details" Management

As part of deploying the full Customer Portal customisations into a new Microsoft CRM Organisation there are a number of attributes added to the Contact entity including

  • Locked Out
  • Reset Password To
  • Change Password at next logon

In the scenario where Windows Live ID is being used as the authentication platform, I'm curious if anyone knows the intention for these fields, or if possibly they are redundant and not used?

Are they just there for completeness, as a suggestion, if during implementation you decided to use a different authentication platform?

We included all of the attributes to implement a full membership provider, but only shipped the LiveID membership provider.  Adxstudio retains a full contact membership provider in their xRM portals project that use the additional attributes.
