Cannot register portal with LiveID

Has anyone been able to register their customer portal as a LiveID application since the registration mechanism has changed to My registration fails at the Domain Verification step. I am using a port for my customer portal website am wondering if that is causing a problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Yes, we have been successful with the new portal, but we didn't use a custom port.  I could imagine that the custom port might run afoul of the naming standards that they are enforcing.  I have been unsuccessful at tracking down updated information about how to use the new portal and new standards that they are enforcing.

Well I've been able to setup the portal using a custom port. But since the domain cannot be entered with a port number, you'll have to verify the domain on a site that runs on port 80.
