Customer Portal Localization

I just wanted to ask if it is possible to localize this Customer Portal according our needs ?

We have done so recently, by localizing the customer portal to using Dutch language only, so that is possible.

Do You have translation statistics ?

such as Unique word count ?

We have used the customer portal for CRM 2011 as part of a proof of concept for a potential customer, and found that while 95% of the content can be managed using the content management solution embedded within CRM, whereby we simply translated the English content snippets and html to Dutch, there were some remaining hardcoded parts of text inside the aspx pages that we just translated to Dutch for lack of time. In an actual implementation we would either enable those parts to fully leverage the content management functionality or instead use translation files. We actually saw that an earlier version of the e-Service portal part of the customer portal accelerator also made use of translation files. Not sure about statistics, but I would say that translation of the out of the box version of the customer portal counted less than 500 words in the content snippets and web pages sections combined.
